5. Why are Mary Chocolatier's products more expensive than most chocolates?

Mary Chocolaiter uses only the finest, freshest and natural ingredients without chemical preservatives to extend the shelf life of its products. Accordingly, its costs are higher than most other chocolaiters who use lower quality products and whose products contain several chemicals and additives.

6. What does "shelf-life" refer to and why is this important?

Because Mary Chocolaiter uses only the finest, freshest and natural ingredients without chemical preservatives to extend the shelf life of its products, the shelf-life of our products is shorter than with most other Chocolatiers who use chemicals to preserve their products.

The shelf-life of our products ranges from three weeks for creme fraiche products to three months for pralines and up to six months with our sugar free products.  Our ganache and truffle chocolates typically have a shelf-life of eight to ten weeks depending upon the product.  For current details of the shelf-life of our products please see our on-line or in-store brochure, which describes the contents of each chocolate as well as its shelf-life.
